thanks for the links.
living in the middle east, ehem, in the arab world, i wanted to take an opportunity along with this blog to mention one other over-looked genocide and injustice happening in our midst. this is a touchy one, but nonetheless real and horrible. i will never downplay the significance and importance of remembering the plight of the jewish people during the holocaust in germany, but let us not overlook israel’s oppression and unjust treatment of their neighbors in palestine. this is not a counter argument…in reality it is a complementary statement to the heart of your blog. we need to stand up against injustice in our time, and this is an injustice that is happening in my midst. for more on this, read gary burge’s “whose land, whose promise”.
sorry to anyone who will hate me forever for bringing this up. i ask that you just seek justice and peace wherever you are and wherever you see injustice happening.
